Full Stack Developer

About the role
As our Full Stack Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications across both front-end and back-end systems. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical proficiency, and the capacity to work collaboratively within the development team.
- This role requires the employee to work in the office full-time to foster collaboration and ensure seamless development processes.
- Some flexibility to work from home on occasion may be available, subject to business needs and approval.
- May require occasional after-hours support for critical deployments or system maintenance.
- Collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000
What you'll do
Software Development:
- Design, develop, and implement web applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across front-end and back-end frameworks.
- Utilise modern programming languages, frameworks, and libraries to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services into applications as required.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimisation of existing applications.
System & Application Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain existing applications, ensuring their continued functionality and security.
- Implement patches and updates to improve system performance and address vulnerabilities.
- Conduct performance testing and implement optimisations for speed and efficiency.
General Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, product managers, and QA testers, to ensure alignment and delivery of high-quality products.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and front-end development.
- Quality Assurance: Test applications for usability, functionality, and adherence to design specifications and guidelines.
About you
Skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar software development role.
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, such as JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue.js), Node.js
- Experience with database management systems, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. (desired but not essential)
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and secure coding principles. (desired but not essential)
- Experience working within a regulated industry or government environment. (desired but not essential)
